BOOKINGS AND LOCATION
Prices per person per night (pppn) based on 2 people sharing are £45-50 pppn depending on number of nights and time of year. Single person bookings are available at an extra £20-25 pppn. Dogs (up to 2 well-behaved ones) are welcome – single extra payment of £5.

Once the booking is confirmed, we will ask for a small deposit, which can be paid by internet bank transfer (preferred) or with a credit/debit card via Paypal. If you wish to pay by Paypal, you do not need to have a Paypal account yourself and can pay via the QR code here. You can also find us on Booking.com (where you can check availability) if you prefer to book and pay that way.
How to get to Damson Ghyll
By road
Satnav will bring you here via Whinlatter, What3words address is "rinses.flatten.ratio".
Leave the M6 at Penrith (Junction 40) and follow the A66 towards Workington. The quickest way is over the Whinlatter Pass by taking the left turn off the A66 at Braithwaite just after Keswick on to the B5292 and follow the road through High Lorton to Low Lorton. Follow the signs to Thackthwaite over the River Cocker bridge and Damson Ghyll is about half a mile past Thackthwaite on the left opposite Latterhead Farmhouse. By train
The West Coast mainline railway station at Penrith is about 30 miles away and has bus connections to Cockermouth (see below). For rail timetables, visit National Rail Enquiries or call 03457 48 49 50.
By bus
The X4/X5 service (timetable here) runs from Penrith to Keswick and Cockermouth. From Easter to October, the Stagecoach Honister Rambler bus (timetable here) will bring you to Lorton from where we can pick you up (or you can walk the 2 miles up the lane).
